First edition, first printing of one of the rarest Artemis Fowl books to find signed. This item is especially rare as it is not only signed but lined; "Dwerb walks into a bar!" Both the harcover and dustwrapper are in fine condition, a superb example. Accompanying this book is an extremely rare signed proof sampler that I have yet to find for sale elsewhere. In fact Eoin Colfer commented that it was the first one he has seen when it was presented to him to sign. The proof is slightly smaller than the book and is 60 pages in length and is made of at least 120g card/paper. It has a double cover, the one in the photograph is the outer and mimics a moleskin type notebook with fake wear and tear. The outer cover bears a red sticker saying "NOW RELEASED AUGUST 3". The inner cover is exactly the same as the book in design and bears Eoin Colfer's signature as there is not title page printed in this proof, just a copright page. The proof on the outer cover has the slightest of shelfwear which is bearly noticable and does not detract from such a fine collectable.
